Get involved

Your support, friendship and involvement means everything to the way we work.

We support our people, and their communities through partnerships to make good things happen, as determined by the community.

Your support means that the communities we partner with can get things moving to create opportunity in important areas like education, health, services access, economic planning and cultural learning and preservation.

The Littlewell Working Group from the Aboriginal Reserve on the outskirts of Mingenew wanted to protect the reserve and preserve the stories of the Elders. The remote communities of Kalkarindji and Daguragu, located south west of Katherine in the Northern Territory, successfully used video making ideas to encourage school attendance. The Gudjuda Reference Group and Rangers, sought partners to protect the endangered Green Sea Turtle.

These are just a few of the successes communities are able to achieve with your support.  Read more.

Here’s a few ways you can support community achievement around Australia.

WAYS TO SUPPORT

Make a donation

Make a donation today and you’ll be making an immediate difference to the lives of First Nations communities across urban, rural, regional and remote Australia.

Give regularly

Become a Community Friend with a regular monthly donation to Community First Development. Your regular donation contributes directly to supporting real community needs in health, education, services, business development and cultural preservation.

Wills & Bequests

A much-appreciated way to contribute to the communities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is through your Will. Please consider including a gift in your Will to Community First Development.

It doesn’t matter what size the gift, it will continue to make a lasting and much appreciated difference to the work we are able to do with First Nations people and their communities.

Workplace Giving

Workplace giving is a simple and tax-effective way to make regular donations to the work we do in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. It’s flexible and easy to put in place.

Fundraise for us.

One of the easiest ways to fundraise for us is to start a Go Fundraise page.

Go Fundraise is an independent website which allows individuals or groups to set up a fundraising page. You can then share the link with your friends and family to make donations online.

Each person who makes a donation will be issued with a receipt and all donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. This is also a great way to track your donations.

Volunteers

Our volunteers are skilled, committed and much appreciated for the time and expertise they give so generously. Our volunteers are invited by communities to live and work alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to achieve community goals. It is a rare privilege and very much a shared learning experience.
